Law Enforcement and the Police Force
What would a functional society be like without someone willing to risk life and limbs in order to uphold laws written by higher authorities who sit in congress or in higher political offices. In the US laws are part and parcel of the constitution, in Canada laws are part and partial of a Charter. The police force is made up of men and women who are licensed law enforcement officers. They swear an oath to defend constitutional rights or charter rights of citizens. In a perfect world the citizen is protected from tyrrant governance and from criminals by the integrity of the police officer and the police force. |
