Corruption is gift. There are hundreds of cases of lawmen turned corrupt. It happens all the time. Fear can turn lawmen bad, as can greed, or ignorance.   

This page of Lawmen looks into the world of people who have earned their living has law officers, or judges, or prison security guards.
These professional lawmen however have all one thing in common.  At some point they jumped the fence and joined the thieves.
