At the root of the Milky Way tree : The Mayan Lord of Creation and 2012 is a John Major Jenkins essay.
The Olmec and Mayan cultures found a seperate identity in Izapa of Southern Mexico. This period saw the emergence of a calendrical count which has come to be known as the Long count.
Jenkins has been a long time observer of the Izapa cultures and their monument artifacts. Here he begins by explaning how the 5125 year cycle comes about.
He follows with the Mayan Philosophy and 2012.
"This galactic alignment is the key to understanding 2012, and it involves the Rebirth of the December solstice Sun Lord through the Dark Rift "cleft in the Milky Way, located between Sagitarrius and Scorpio. "
Jenkins goes on to explain in theory and to defend it against the opinions of others, some of whom would love to discredit him as a mere charlatan. |
