The Yucutan peninsula is a place where tourist have gone to enjoy sandy beaches at places like Cancun, Playa del Carmen, etc...The Mayan Riviera and the Mayan culture has brought archeologists and historians to the area looking for answers to how these ancient cultures lived and what their unique language and art left behind....it is only one of the 31 states in Mexico.
 
The Yucutan legends expand into the jungles of Guatamala and even into the Pacific Ocean, and the Gulf of Mexico...
