What is going on with the 2012 rogue planet theory?

 

Is some information that were finding about any possibility of a 2012 earth collision with a planet or any other piece of cosmic debris that might floating in space.

 

Maybe the whole thing about a collision in space started with one of the main figures behind the mysterious Nibiru. Zecharia Sitchin has been studying the potential of such a planet that he believes rotates in an orbit that is completely different that the other planets that are held into the sun gravity. Nibiru, home of the Annunaki, as Sitchin says, takes some 3600 years to make a single orbit of the sun. It's all mythology at this point since  the only proof of such a planet is lost in the texts of ancient Sumerian and Hebrew writers.

 

Someone, somehow, got the idea that Nibiru was correlated to the ages described by other ancient cosmologists but that isn't necessarily what Mr. Sitchin said. Someone, somehow, correlated 2012 Mayan calendrical end time prophecy to the Nibiru myth and behold there went another great end time scenario.

 

 

 

 

Apophis, or 99942, made a psychological splash of it's own since at first it initially looked like it could be heading straight into this planet. But that wouldn't happen for several years. A while after the discovery of Apophis the threat to earth civilization was quickly downgraded by cosmology experts who were now certain that if this asteroid did cause a concern for humanity then it would not be until 2029 or 2036. After further review 2068 was added to the list of dates that those alive in those years should at least keep one eye on the sky and the other on a old in the ground to take cover.......well maybe not in those exact words.

 

As for Nibiru and the 2012 rogue planet theory well let's follow some search results to see what became of that. 

 

 

It's April 2010 and several months ago a NASA spokesman by the name of David Morrison went on youTube to tell the world that there was absolutely no threat to planet earth from any space object in the near future. 2012 or end time theorists who claim there is, Morrison states, are pure money mongering hoax spinning fools looking to endanger the civility of humanity in an age where prophecy is driving social momentum to the brink of sanity.

 

He may be right but on a site where he is a main player there is a warning that though we are certain that no NEO is a threat to humanity today, that NEO's have a way of popping up out of nowhere and at any old time. So listening to the convictions of this NASA spokesman is a little like putting all of your eggs in one basket.....

 

Nibiru and Sitchin meanwhile deserve some more notes in order to better understand the logic behind what this alternate historian proposes as a result of his years of studying ancient manuscripts and writing on walls and wherever else people wrote of their journey on earth and of their knowledge of time.
